Project Description:
This project will update traditional approaches to studying adolescent relationships by integrating adolescents’ online experiences with technology and social media into research on how “offline” friendship interactions affect adolescents’ well-being. Students will be part of either a qualitative coding team or a computer programming team. Students interested in social sciences (e.g. Psychology, Sociology) and technology with a background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering are ideal for this project. Strong programming skills are required for the computer programming team, and experience in sensor/mobile system development is a plus.
