This project will develop point-of-care diagnostics for sickle cell disease and anemia for specific use in Sierra Leone. The product created will be simple and easy to use, minimizing the need for training by medical professionals. This team will travel to Sierra Leone in August 2019 to build networks, research healthcare systems, and begin marketing successfully-tested lab discoveries.
