Project Description:
The Southside Permaculture Park is a student-initiated greenspace founded in 2018 designed to restore the health and wellness of the South Side Bethlehem community through greenspace access and relationship building. 2024 Impact Fellows will build on the design of the park by developing long-term sustainable projects, expanding relationships with current partners by maintaining a presence in the Southside community, collaborating with local leaders, and growing produce with methods informed and inspired by the principles of permaculture design. All majors are welcome to apply, especially those with interests in areas such as health, environmental wellbeing, community engagement, and sustainability.
