Project Description:
How do we improve the use of machine learning to supercharge medical research?
This project is focused on the development of image analytic / machine learning algorithms to sort and categorize patient-derived tumor organoids (PDTOs) for medical research. The platform will combine microfluidic sorting, computer vision, high-speed imaging, electrical measurement, and machine learning, with a goal of improving biomedical research and precision medicine. Students will gain hands-on experience in data collection, data processing, implementation of machine learning models, evaluation, and validation of the project. Encouraged to apply are motivated students with an interest in computer science, electrical engineering, bioengineering, or biology.
