Project Description:
The dream of this project is to promote sustainable practices in product design and manufacturing by exploring untapped processing schemes and applications of recycled materials. The student team will be able to contribute to the metals-processing industry, design industry, and climate science community. During the summer, students will identify 1-2 concepts, assess their feasibility using recycled metals, and research novel applications that maintain the physical properties of the metals. Students with materials science, design, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, architecture, and civil engineering backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
