Project Description:
The goal of this project is to increase the operational speed of Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), contributing to scientific innovations in material science research and nanotechnology. Students will use machine learning packages to perform pattern recognition on experimentally collected training sets, training a model that improves the graphic quality of AFM images. Students with experience or interest in using machine learning algorithms for graphic processing and pattern recognition are encouraged to apply. Students with interest in chemical measurement instruments are a plus.
