Project Description:
This project will provide hands-on research experiences in computer-aided drug discovery to students and prepare them for independent research and publishing their scientific findings. Students will study protein-ligand interactions computationally using three families of impactful therapeutic targets for cancers and AIDS: estrogen receptor, HIV-1 protease, and three types of kinases. The program will provide students with practical hands-on research experiences using CHARMM-GUI and lectures to learn about computer-aided drug discovery.
