Malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies are common in Sierra Leone, especially among children under five years of age. The focus of this project is for students to develop nutritious, ready-to-eat or easy to prepare foods that are inexpensive and compatible with current dietary habits in Sierra Leone. Two separate project teams will be working this summer - one focusing on products for infants and toddlers, the other focusing on children aged 2-5 years.
